ဂရိဆိုရင္ ၂၀၀၄ ဥေရာပ ဖလား ၿပိဳင္ပြဲမွာ မထင္မွတ္ဘဲ ဗိုလ္စြဲထားတဲ့ အသင္းလို႔ လူတိုင္း မွတ္မိေနၾက ဦးမယ္လို႔ ထင္ပါတယ္။ ဥေရာပမွာ ေျခစြမ္း ထက္ျမက္တဲ့ ဂရိဟာ တကယ္ေတာ့ ကမာၻ႕ဖလား ၿပိဳင္ပြဲမွာ တစ္ႀကိမ္သာ ၀င္ေရာက္ ယွဥ္ၿပိဳင္ခဲ့ဖူးတဲ့ အသင္း ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ၁၉၃၄ ခုႏွစ္ ကတည္းက ေျခစစ္ပြဲ ၀င္ေရာက္ ယွဥ္ၿပိဳင္ခဲ့ေပမယ့္ တကယ္တမ္း ေျခစစ္ပြဲ ေအာင္ခဲ့တာက ၁၉၉၄ ခုႏွစ္မွ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ အဲဒီႏွစ္မွာေတာင္ ဂရိ အသင္းဟာ အုပ္စုတြင္း ပြဲစဥ္ ၃ ပြဲကစား၊ ၃ ပြဲလံုး ရံႈးၿပီး သြင္းဂိုး လံုး၀ မရွိခဲ့ပါဘူး။ ဥေရာပ ခ်န္ပီယံ တစ္ႀကိမ္ ျဖစ္ခဲ့ဖူးတဲ့ ဂရိ အသင္းမွာ အဲဒီ ယူရို-၂၀၀၄ ရဲ႕ အမာခံ ကစားသမားေတြ ျဖစ္ခဲ့တဲ့ ခရစၥေတ႔ (ႏူရင္ဘတ္)၊ ကာရာဂူးနစ္ (ပါနာသီယန္ကို႔စ္) စတဲ့ ၀ါရင့္ ကစားသမား ေဟာင္းေတြ ဆက္ကစားေန တုန္းပါပဲ။

ဂရိအသင္းဟာ ဥေရာပဇုန္ ေျခစစ္ပြဲ အုပ္စု ၂ မွာ ပါ၀င္ခဲ့ၿပီး ဆြစ္ဇာလန္၊ လတ္ဗီးယား၊ အစၥေရး၊ လူဇင္ဘတ္၊ ေမာ္လ္ဒိုဗာ တို႔နဲ႔ တစ္အုပ္စုတည္း က်ေရာက္ခဲ့ ပါတယ္။ ဂရိ အသင္းဟာ အုပ္စု ပထမ ရတဲ့ ဆြစ္ဇာလန္ကို အိမ္ကြင္း၊ အေ၀းကြင္း ႏွစ္ေက်ာ့ စလံုး ရံႈးနိမ့္ ခဲ့တာက လြဲၿပီး က်န္ပြဲေတြမွာ ရံႈးပြဲမရွိ ကစားႏိုင္ခဲ့ ပါတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ ပြဲစဥ္အားလံုး အၿပီးမွာ ဂရိဟာ ၆ ပြဲႏိုင္၊ ၂ ပြဲသေရ၊ ၂ ပြဲရံႈး ရလဒ္နဲ႔ အုပ္စု ဒုတိယ ရခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ ဂရိအသင္း Play-off ကစားခြင့္ ရခဲ့ၿပီး ယူကရိန္း အသင္းကို ႏွစ္ေက်ာ့ေပါင္း (၁-၀)ဂိုးနဲ႔ အႏိုင္ရၿပီး ေျခစစ္ပြဲ ေအာင္ခဲ့တာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
