Myanmar National Football Team will play a friendly match against Singapore National Football Team on September 11 at YTC as part of preparations for 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup Qualifiers.
A spokesman of Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) said that they already arranged to play a friendly match against Singapore. “Myanmar National Team will play a friendly match against Singapore National Team on September 11 at Thuwunna Stadium (YTC). We also negotiated with FAT (Football Association of Thailand) to play friendly match against Thailand National Team. But for now, we can confirm that Myanmar will only play with Singapore” he said.
Myanmar also planned to play a charity match against MNL All-Star on August 15 at Aung San Stadium. After these two friendly matches, the team will go to Japan for joint-training and to play three friendly matches against J-League clubs.
 National Team’s head coach, Park Sung-Hwa has recently named a provisional 28-man squad for friendly matches.
Yangon will host 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup Qualifiers from October 5 to 13. Five teams, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei and Timor-Leste to compete in a round robin format to select a group winner and runner-up for the group stage.
