Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) confirmed that Myanmar National Football Team will play a charity match against MNL All-Star Team on August 15th at Aung San stadium.

This charity match is organised by MFF to raise funds for disabled athletes.

In  the charity match, selected foreign players from MNL clubs and two National Team’s goalkeepers will play at MNL All-Star which will be coached by Yadanarbon FC’s head coach Jose Alves Borges. “We will have one day training before the match. It is too short time to build a good team, but we must give shortcut information to the players and try to play ease more than we can. I believe that it’ll be a good game.” Borges said.

National Team’s head coach, Park Sung-Hwa has recently named a provisional 28-man squad that will compete in the upcoming matches including this charity match and a  friendly match against Thailand or Singapore National side during September 2nd week. And, they also planned to go to Japan in September for joint-training and to play three friendly matches against J-League clubs. After that, they will compete 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup Qualifiers which will start on October 5th at Yangon.

Park selected 14 Players from Myanmar U-22 Team which recently qualified 2013 AFC U-22 Championship and also named some experienced players such as Yan Paing, Yazar Win Thein, Khin Maung Lwin, Thiha Si Thu, Moe Win, Paing Soe, Yan Aung Kyaw. He also gave a chance for some new players who have never been selected for any national side.
